Yeah, yeah interesting info, though I didn’t understand more than a few words that you mentioned. Personal opinion Vim is better than Emacs, if you decide to check Vim you can just try Evil mode in Emacs.
I must have failed to mention that I am a vim lifer I only recently got into
emacs. Most of my development on Linux has been with
vim and plugins: NERDTree, vim-airline, vim-surround, and a few others.
I am really wanting to get into Spacemacs/Evil Mode.
You did mention Vim but it was in the contex of plugins so I didn’t know of you past
Haha yeah, I use Vundle to manage plugins.
Brb I’ll grab my config
set nocompatible " be iMproved, required filetype off " required set rtp+=~/.vim/bundle/Vundle.vim call vundle#begin() " let Vundle manage Vundle, required Plugin 'VundleVim/Vundle.vim' Plugin 'tpope/vim-surround' Plugin 'tpope/vim-fugitive' Plugin 'vim-airline/vim-airline' Plugin 'vim-airline/vim-airline-themes' Plugin 'scrooloose/NERDTree' Plugin 'fatih/vim-go' Plugin 'arcticicestudio/nord' Plugin 'pearofducks/ansible-vim' Plugin 'docker/docker' " All of your Plugins must be added before the following line call vundle#end() " required filetype plugin indent on set expandtab set shiftwidth=4 set tabstop=4 set number syntax enable colorscheme nord let g:airline_theme='angr'
big gek approval
call vundle#begin() Plugin 'VundleVim/Vundle.vim' Plugin 'flazz/vim-colorschemes' Plugin 'itchyny/lightline.vim' Plugin 'mengelbrecht/lightline-bufferline' Plugin 'octol/vim-cpp-enhanced-highlight' Plugin 'justinmk/vim-syntax-extra' Plugin 'scrooloose/nerdtree' Plugin 'Xuyuanp/nerdtree-git-plugin' Plugin 'arcticicestudio/nord-vim' Plugin 'sheerun/vim-polyglot' Plugin 'tpope/vim-surround' Plugin 'junegunn/goyo.vim' Plugin 'ARM9/arm-syntax-vim' Plugin 'alisdair/vim-armasm' call vundle#end()
