Your IDE of Choice

Was wondering what IDE everyone uses?

I’m a big fan of Jetbrains products and use PyCharm when I write python code and WebStorm for javascript.

Been using Geany IDE but have been trying VScode.

Man, hate to be that guy, but lately, especially at work, just vim on whatever remote server I’m working on.

I like Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code when I’m on Windows (I’m aware the latter is cross platform). I like the JetBrains products but don’t like the subscription cost.

heresy, use notepad++

Lol I’d never taint my *nix with that garbage…

That’s what Sublime Text is for :troll:

But really, our Win boxes have that :wink:

cough VSCode cough

PyCharm is great for Python. Been meaning to try out Visual Studio Code once I get back to programming. VIM is on my list of “stuff that I should learn at some point”.

When I was in the Uni I used Netbeans on my Java programming classes. It was ok, but maybe bit too much for what I needed it for.

Seems risky to run an Electron app on Windows app and web servers.

The less JavaScript the better :wink:

VS Code is the shit.

When I’m on my laptop (it’s very low-spec) I’m usually using vim.
